So what is it for the daily driver. A scion/element. And for the serious roadtripper a Westie. The dedicated Lifer gets a Fullsized station wagon.

Is that it?

I have an element. I love it. Roomy, comfortable, gas mileage is solid, and it is ugly.

97 4Runner. Sleeps 2. Carries all your gear. 4wheeling hog for excellent urban curb jumpin parallel parking and wears bumper stickers with flair,

I got a friend who just bought a POS KIA and it does the same thing. Its nice and all but it can't all be utilized by two people. Tha is a lot of flat space though!!

My Dodge 1500 quad cab does close to the same thing. The back seat folds up to expose a flat bench. Just big enough for one person. The back is absolutly huge. It will sleep three comfortably and there is space on top for gear.

I think the toyota Tacoma with the crew cab and the short bed and the TRD package (rear locking hubs). This thing is the ultimate 4 wheeler for those hard to reach crags. It has room for a kid and car seat and a 4x8 sheet of plywood (with the tail gate down).
