wow, thats a pretty awesome deal except that the 222 is a complete piece of crap. good beginer boat i guess. if anyone is looking to start paddling this would be an awesome deal. boats alone can easly run $800 and that paddle sounds pretty sweet.

its an awesome beginner boat, a river runner that you can also stop and surf in and its easy to roll. but its not a playboat.
when this gear was new it was probably all worth around $2000.

i have a friend who uses one in Wisconsin which is definately in the midwest. it all depends if those midwest rivers have white water. theres good stuff in northern wisconsin.

personally i dont think its steep, i did some research on other used boats, and that is what i based my price on. and anyways, you get boat, skirt, nice paddle, helmet, pfd, pfd camelback thingy, throwrope, accessory bag, flotation bags, really nice semi-dry top, undershirt, and mesh bag. all of which is in like-new condition because i only went paddling like 10 times.
however, just because im asking $800 doesnt mean thats what i'll get.

think about getting a full trad rack, rope, harness, shoes, helmet, bunch of draws, etc. for $800. really thats an awesome deal. i spent ~$1200 on all my paddling gear and my boat was pretty beat up when i got it so it was pretty cheap. that paddle probably runs in the $300+ range alone. paddling is an expensive sport, just like climbing.
