Banshee at Solarium
Be careful about not hitting the rope when you spray. Hornet killer will melt composition roof shingles - not sure what it will do to a climbing rope, but I suspect it is in the same category as battery acid. Don't hit your eyes either. Might want to wear long pants, socks etc, and bring some benedryll in case the wasps win the battle.
Yeah, the bugs are thick over there. Personally I would wait for fall, but maybe a good dose will keep the wasps away for good. Go git' em!!!

My Buddha nature makes it difficult for me to remove wasp/hornet nests from routes because I feel guilty about it later. However, I have reasoned that it is self-defense if they sting me and I should be able to defend myself, right? Well, so far I've been removing the nests and the Jungle Gods are still treating me kindly... more or less...

now that, rubbing my belly, I can relate to.
and sprag...keeping it natural? do we really want to go there? there are roads, and cars and climbers and our dogs in there....not a combination for "natural"...to keep it natural, we need to stay out...and quit introducing the noise pollution of drilling and screaming and barking dogs.
