Banshee at Solarium

Post by Spragwa »

We went to the Solarium yesterday and had to leave two of my draws at the anchors of Banshee. There are some VERY aggressive hornets up there. My advice to everyone is to leave them alone.

But, if anyone happens to climb up and make it, can you leave the anchor draws at Miguel's? I'd really appreciate it. Thanks.

they're below the anchors so when you're at them, they're around your waist or feet. i'd say clip into the bail gear up there and take a shot at the anchors.. if they come after you, just take the fall and lower like it's your job cause there's another smaller nest near the second set of huecos.. there are fewer there and they're less aggressive but if you come back in by their nest, they won't be too thrilled. the fall is clean and fun ;)

Was that the yelling that we heard over there the other day?

haha.. yeah, probably. sorry about the last girlee scream: that was me ;)

seriously, though, they were not happy with me. i thought i was being real sly-like going really slowly up to the anchors.. and i was just about there, thinking they didn't notice me or weren't pissed cause i was going slow.. then they came swarming out of a pocket at about my waist.. i have never been so happy about taking such a big fall.. especially on a bail booty locker ;)

I will bring the wasp/hornet spray, a shotgun and something to set their nest on fire with. Just show me where they are and I will send the sonsofbitches back to hell where they belong! I hate those things.

i'll go spray them if someone is willing to give me a soft catch on a huge fall cause i will want to be long long gone before the stuff hits them.. not to mention before it gets on the rope.

wait.. nevermind.. i swore i wouldn't spray about climbs. piggie, i need a ruling: is this type of spray acceptable?

;)
