I tried to read Ishmael and I enjoyed the philosophical talking gorilla. However, eventually it was painfully obvious that the author claimed scientific knowledge of many biological concepts yet it was evident that he was not scientifically educated. Finally I got so disgusted with his lack of factual knowledge that I put the book down and to this day it is the only book that I started and read half way through but did not finish.

despite the almost humorous name, i picked up "eco-imperialism: green power black death" by paul driessen. it's about how environmental activities alledgely often ignore and indirectly perpetuate the oppression of third world countries. we'll see how it goes..

I just finished Under the Banner of Heaven by John Krakauer. Very interesting read about Mormon fundamentalists.

I also recently read Cloud Atlas by David Mitchell. Very good read also

Have you seen the Mormon towns in Utah? Big houses with no windows. Everyone stares at you when you drive through.

Just finished Survivor by Chuck Palahniuk, good read, I think that is the fastest I have ever tore though a book.
