I know they are not really fitting into this category but Rage Against the Machine had an awesome guitar solo in one of their songs. It's in the song "Guerilla Radio". You have to see it performed to really appreciate it. Their guitar player makes the guitar sound like a harmonic by using the feedback from the speaker. It's freakin sweet.
