Table of Colors bolt
Table of Colors bolt
Recently was out at left flank and witnessed the bolt below teh crux being flung to the ground. It was later put back into position. It didn't appear to land on rocks, but I thought this might be of some concern to people who are capable of climbing it. Apparently the luckless draw offended by not closing on the rope end, allowing the climber to have a longer whip than would be preferred. Regardless, it seem's a bit sketchy to me.
"Yeah, it sucks. But then, everything does."
So, was it the bolt or the draw that was "flung to the ground"? And table direct or the orginal line? The draw on the upper crux was pretty hammered looking to me last time I was out there, and I was going to swap it out once I started working on it again.

Zero commitment burns are the best Piggie, you'll learn to appreciate them soon. You ain't at Jackson Falls anymore....you can show up at the load during the peak of a good fall season with only your shoes, rope, harness and a gri gri and get a bunch of pitches in...just like the climbing gym you'll love it oh and don't forget your stick clip.Wes wrote:No idea, but I don't complain about them when they are there. Makes for a nice zero commitment burn or two.

Actually, I belive there is a "fixed" stick clip at the load as well. But, I would never trust a fixed stick clip - no telling what kind of condition it is in.rhunt wrote:Zero commitment burns are the best Piggie, you'll learn to appreciate them soon.
