What marathon are you doing? I'm trying to find a good one for the fall/winter.diggum wrote:What a multi-tasker that Jack Daniels is!
In all serious-ness...I need to pick up some training books since I have my first marathon scheduled this winter. I hate running while I'm running but damn it feels good when you're done. I suck too. Just getting to 12 minute miles. Does that impress anyone?

I've heard of the girl's club and the abs routine. Jr. and Rhino told me that it was a cake walk unless your were having an uncontrolled IBS spasm. I imagine they feigned difficulty in order to garner female sympathy and phone numbers.Climb Time Girl's Club...don't tell me you haven't heard of our 10 min abs etc etc
Was it Joan Samuelson,(a 2:20 marathoner) who after running the NYC Marathon with Fred Lebow, (his last before he died) commented that she had so much respect for the back of the packers. She said if it took her 4 or more hours to fininsh a marathin, she might never have taken up the sport.
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.
swimmings great until you fry your rotator cuffs, mine are gone, thats what i got for swimming 5 miles a day in high school. no running, no swimming. good cardio for me is hard to find. oh yeah, swimming doesn't help you loose wieght like running does since its not a wieght bearing activity. however, it does raise your matabolism alot so if you do run it is more effective at cutting wieght.
Sand inhibits the production of toughtosterone, so get it out and send.
did you have a coach in hs when you were swimming? sucks about your shoulders, swimming is usually great about building up shoulder strength...
unless those 5 miles were all done in butterfly style.
if that's the case....dah-am!

I know that you believe that you understood what you think I said, but I am not sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant.
