I need to find an energy bar with some fiber in it or something...this winter, I ate mostly Genisoy bars for 4 straight days, and let's just say I was pretty dammed up...

Pretty annoying when you don't want to spend an hour in the bathroom because there's ice to be climbed...

Anyone know of any that don't affect you in this way? Clif bars and Luna bars do the same thing..

I am sorry they are called "Omegasmart" . I know I didn't give much of an endorsement but they are good they just aren't candy.

I kind of prefer an energy bar that slows things down. That way I can usually wait until I get back to civilization until I need to make a deposit, but if you eat a lot of them I can certainly see how that could be a problem.

i tried the Powerbar Tripple Threat bars this weekend and they were pretty good. Kroger had a 10 for $10 deal going on all Powerbar products last week. might want to check them out.

Has anyone tried Moto bars (not mojo)? They're the tastiest ever, but I can't find them anymore.

Energy/nutrition Bars

Post by batscout »

My favorite nutrition bars, "bar none", are the Zone Perfect bars and I have tried many. The reason that I like them so much is that they are really tasty. There are only two or three flavors I really like and those are the Choc Almond Biscotti, the Choc Peanut Butter (my fav) and the Fudge Graham. The Zone bars are nutrition bars rather than energy bars or protein bars. They have 210 Calories, 7 g fat, 21 g carbs and 16 g protein, which seem to be a good balance for me. I often eat one for breakfast or lunch. They have a really good amount of vitamins and minerals. You can purchase them cheapest at Walmart for $.96.
