Chocolate mint Balance bars taste like the Girl Scout ThinMint cookies.
The Luna Lemon Zest bars are good, too.

I have always taken Snickers with me whether its a backpacking, mountaineering, or climbing trip.

Blech. Energy/power bars suck. They taste like those weight gain pills that my doc made me take when I was a wee little girl!

I agree - the PB Cliff is the only one I found that doesn't have much of that taste.

You should really try the Zone Bars. They are so good! RRO carries them. They're practically the only ones I like because I don't like that weird taste most have either.

I should add the Zone Chocolate Mint - that's pretty good too. Zone has one that I think is called Double Fudge, which is very nasty tasting.

Some are gross for sure. The only one I like is the chocoloate peanut butter. I haven't tried the chocolate mint one, though.

the pineapple "Omegabars" They are completelyvegan organic etc. and very good for you,and taste alright...
