Decorating turtle shells, working on my car, doing some gardening work, cleaning the apartment, setting routes in the climbing gym, working overtime at the lab, and golfing with my dad. Can you believe that shit?

Yup, I kept finding turtle shells at Muir Valley and I started collecting them and taking them home. Later I removed the scales, bleached them (chemical and sun), scrubbed them, and then decorated them. It takes about a week. I also do artwork on the inside of the shells and that is the most difficult part.

These were the first two of several that I've done so far. I've gotten much better since then and I started giving them away to family members and close friends as gifts. If anybody wants one then just find me a shell and I'll make you one. I only have 3 shells left and they are all spoken for. Each one is different and I've been mostly using Native American symbols from petroglyphs, rock art, etc. Some of them have deep meaning, others I just made up because I thought they looked cool.

Due to father's day, I'm booked on Sunday, but I'm hoping to make it to Wild Iowa on Saturday. I'd love to run Virgin Lemonade and there are some 'new' routes way down at the end. Should be fun!
