1776 is getting some big promotion at Borders bookstore. I'm struggling to get through THE HEART IS A LONELY HUNTER, but I'm not having any trouble at all with a sci-fi one by K.J. Bishop entitled THE ETCHED CITY. A dark and deadly desert tale.

What are you reading?
I've been reading "The Art of Computer Virus Research and Defense". It's a new book and to date the only one I've seen that covers viruses and worms to this level of detail. It was written by the Chief Technologist of Symantec, Peter Szor.

I'm halfway through The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath... it's not as "formal" as I thought it would be. I'm not crazy about it, but it's a pretty good read.
Hey Paul, can I borrow Winter of our Discontent from you? I realize I could lean into the computer lab's aisle and ask you this, but it's more fun to publicize my question... Damn, you signed off...
