Weekend Weather!!

Post by b_kosina »

Yahoo! It's Friday! I'm in Cincinnati, and it is pouring like crazy here. I'd love to get down to the gorge Saturday & maybe Sunday as well. Is it soaking wet from all the rain? Does anyone know how conditions are at fortress wall?

have not been to the red. but lex got a good drenching. fortress is known to be the rainy day trad crag so i bet lizards will be dry fo-sho. snake was still slippery last weekend and i don't recall any big rain storms...

so i hope that was vague enough and confusing enough. sorry i couldn't be more specific.

It's Saturday afternoon right now if anyone cares and we (RRO) just took a guided group out to Fortress for the day and pretty much everything is wet, including American Wall/Crack. Calypso II, III, and Where Lizards Dare was about the only thing dry there today

I think a lot of rock was wet today. I heard Torrent was wet and there were just a few cars at Roadside. We went to the Motherlode and everything right of Chainsaw was wet. The Stain wall was dry. Manky but dry.

It's raining again, but only a little bit. Good thing is it didn't rain last night. I'm sure a lot of places will be wet. I'm going to Muir, we'll see how that is.

I wish I hadn't. It was miserable out yesterday.

A day outside climbing in the rain is still better than any day indoors...

The weather was screwey, but I had a lot of fun yesterday. I didn't climb worth a crap, but the three lovely ladies I was climbing with climbed really well though. It went from DAMN gooey, to boiling hot, to both. My damn hands got a workout in spite of it and I ALMOST evened out my farmer's tan. :)
