I'm trying to find a crag to climb at this summer that doesn't get too much sun (ie is only 85 instead of 95 degrees) with some good 5.7 to 5.10 trad lines. Looks like Pebble Beach gets too much sun to fit the bill although the climbing there looks like it'd be right in my range. Any suggestions?
Also, if anyone wants to start climbing easy trad stuff let me know, I'd love to have someone to climb with.
How far of a walk is it to these places? My knee doesn't like too long/steep of hikes period, especially one with a heavy pack on. Sorry for all the restraints.
Sand inhibits the production of toughtosterone, so get it out and send.
Mountain biking is a good option but i'd have to make sure my partner had a bike too and since i don't climb with people regularly, that causes a coordination problem.

meadows how dare you, i am not prissy or little. and i don't like bouldering cause, again, it hurts my knee.
Pebble isn't bad and has stuff in the range you indicate, which to me seems more important than the other considerations- the trees will help with the shade thing and you can always take a twelve pack for inbetween burns and the bridge area is an adequate swimming hole.
