Thanks for the information. Greatly appreciated. It will help us plan our day. We're actually heading into Indian Creek, which I think is a a few more miles, but we really want to do Crack Attack.

I read another post where someone mentioned you can bike in and that sounds like a good option.

Thanks again.

Rocket, If you are going to Indian Creek, then you would be much, much better off biking in. pebble and pistol are not to bad, but anything further along the road would be a pretty long trek.

Yeah, and there are places in the Red where you can rent a bike if you don't want to cart your own in. IC would be QUITE the hike.

I'm sure Red River Outdoors would hook you up. They have really good bikes.

Thanks again. If we can't fit the bikes we'll probably rent.

Has anyone ridden their bikes out there? If so, did you lock up your bike? Where? Or, did you drag it up the approach?

I am a bit of a bike-riding-gumby...So excuse this dorky question: How hard would it be to ride a bike with a trad rack, water & a rope on your back?

it's not too bad but the balance thing can be a little tricky. the road is pretty level so it shouldn't be that difficult. the hardest part is getting on and going..

Try it with a crash pad, or with the above mentioned paraphanelia after dark from Long Wall to Slade.
