I loved it! I agree that it was kewl to see all the locals in the video. It would have been great to have Whitney in it and maybe more of the Jen's but hey, SPencer did a fantastic job! Wooohooo!

I bought it too by the way.

We enjoyed watching the many high end sport routes and it was extremely well done, but I would rather have seen Yasmeen climbing "Inhibitor" and Loren on "B3". Or even some footage from "Windy Corner".

Also, maybe I'm wrong in saying this, (they are just minor corrections) but I thought it was Alex Yeakley (not Alex Bronaugh). And, the route filmed in the Sanctuary was named "Triple Sec" (not "50 Bucks").

Of course we bought a copy and I'm looking forward to watching it again and perhaps I'll even be inspired to train harder so I could climb a few more of the routes featured in the video! :D

That fat dude was hilarious! I was almost expecting the bolts to rip right out of the wall when he fell!

By "that fat guy" I asume you were referring to Ghetto Chris in the sumo wrestler suit... pretty funny. He was on Bare Metal Teen in the video... classic. I love it when he runs down the trail at Torrent after the fall.

When you watch the video check out the footage on Fuzzy Undercling... if I am not mistaken it is being climbed sans-rope???

As for J-Rock's comment on the climb at Muir... what is the scoop with the name on that thing Tripple Sec vs. 50 Bucks? Why is it being called 2 things? Second the video showed it as 13b when it is really 13a. Also the grade on Table direct it showed as 13a I thougt concensus was 13b? Not that it matters. Everything else in the video looked right on.
Lest we all forget... climbing is a mostly meaningless pursuit that we do for fun.

To stir the pot some more, I've heard people refer to it as Triple Stack.

J-Rock is right about Alex's last name being Yeakley, not Bronaugh.
Does he have a strange bear claw like appendage protruding from his neck? He kep petting it.

I went home sick Saturday afternoon and so miss the party and the showing of Red River Ruckus. My roommate bought a copy and I watched it yesterday. Super good. It was fun to watch people on routes I have done or worked on. Even though I don't do much trad at the Red it would have been nice to see more of it on the video. I was wondering how Spencer was going to make a route climbing video entertaining and not boring as hell, he did a great job.

From what I have been told from several climbers much stronger than me... the grades on the harder routes at Muir (ex. the 5.13's - are MUCH stiffer) than the 5.13's at the other areas (ex. the Southern Regions). Some visiting 5.14 climbers from out of state also confirmed this.

Anyway, I'm not sure about the details of the route name (maybe some dispute about the FA?). I was originally informed that it was "Triple Sec" and it was reported as such. Later others started calling it by another name... whatever it is named - that is one beautiful route!
