I'm trying to figure out why you're wanting to study spanish in Eastern KY. I'm an IU guy in Bloomington (for another two weeks), but I can tell you that the Gorge is about an hour from UK.

Man, we had a great weekend! We kept trying to go other places buy just ended up back at the Motherlode. I think I'm finally acquiring an awed appreciation for that place. We also went to the Unlode and climbed the three routes there. Eight new routes total this weekend and I wish the weekend wasn't over.

Yeah, me too!

I went to the Gallery Friday. Big fun. Still a little breaky but fun routes. Sat. we went to Solar Collector then to Purgatory. Purgatory is amazing. So beautiful and the routes are kewl. Sunday I went to Muir and got on stuff at Rebel Branch. Great easy climbs. Yesterday, back to Purgatory, Left Field, etc.

I loved my four day weekend! Woohoo!

Saturday was a day to help Cap Static with the fest. Did anyone else want to kill JR? And did anyone else enjoy the film?

Hiked out to Mariba Fork on Friday, climbed at Wall of Denial on Saturday, Tower Rock and Skybridge on Sunday, and Left Field and Purgatory on Monday. Perfect weekend! :D

The video was awesome-- great work, Spencer! :D

The movie was cool, I missed JR, but the thing for everyone to really take away with them was Dr. Bob's time on stage. Did you all hear those numbers? Like a $20,000.00 check, along with $70,000.00 total for the murry property was what I heard. And he still does more trail work then anyone else. Plus, he can cook and makes a mean home brew. A stand up great person for sure.

Thanks Dr. Bob! And it was nice to see this weekend in Muir! :D

Jared's coworker, Ariel, was with us this weekend and it was her first time climbing outdoors. She did really well! Even climbed a 100ft 10a! By the end of the day, she was always so happy to show off her new cuts and bruises and was just really happy the entire time. We both had a great time esp since I've never climbed with another female for a full weekend..... I was also *forced* to lead every single climb we got on - which was really nice for a change. All in all, we climbed about 20 routes this weekend with me climbing most of them twice to clean too! It was a great and refreshing change from the usual weekend routine of bolting - also we ended up at Roadside for one day... Did Valor Over Discretion which I thought was a lot of fun although too short.

One of the best weekends I've had at the Red! I can't remember when was the last time I'm hurting this much after a weekend of climbing! Anyone else shocked by the gorgeous weather we had?!

Had a blast this weekend! Taught yoga to climbers at a hostel, climbed at Pistol Ridge, watched Spencors great video- drunk (loved it when the Mayor said he climbed too!), saw many old and new faces, and was happy that the rain didn't ruin anything.
Giddy up!
