Entertain me. I know lots of people are still out there enjoying their long weekends.

But I'm not...I need to live vicariously so...

What did everyone do this weekend?

hey diggie! it was great seeing you last night.

i don't know if you noticed this or not but there was a line of cars parked along the road from miguel's towards the parkway that ended (humorously enough) right at the sign that said "congested area ahead"! what a great night--music, movies, bad/offensive humor and people!

other than that, i finally sacked up and got on my first trad lead.

time to keep on with the keepin' on!

Congrats! I heard a rumor that you might be talked into it.

About all I've done is study and spend a few hours at the gym last night. Such an exciting life I lead.

Motherlode Saturday and Sunday. Still one day left though. It ain't over until the fat lady's stomach splits open and half digested food spills out.

Nope. Pretty much did the indy wall except for the reachy 12b, and some cool stuff at the solarium - the far right two routes kick major ass - classic moves and incredible rock. Also did the shining, yellow brick road and no place like home.

Took Arno's class, (didn't fall) then got a chance to climb some trad routes at Long wall with Arno. Super cool guy, way strong. Went to Tower rock for the first time, some really nice trad lines there, lots of fun! Checked out Global Village also for the first time. Great weekend so far.

Hey yáll:

I currently live in Colorado, but I am contemplating a move to kentucky to get my PhD in Spanish. I am quite obviously a glutton for punishment (e.g. I think off-widths are "fun").

Anyways, as you can imagin, leaving CO is difficult, but I am buyoed by the fact that the climbing in the Red kicks ass (so I´ve heard, but not experienced). Anybody mind dropping me a line with some info about the distance between the Red River Gorge and Lexington. I am also curious about other recreation opportunities from Lexington (climbing, mtn. biking, hiking). I am hoping to pass through the area in July and hope to find someone who I can buy a beer and pick their brain. I will fill you in on the spectacular climbing in Spain and Morroco. Any takers?

Nice job on your first trad lead!! I'm glad your first experience was a good one. I need to find a nice route for my next go...
