auto-shop. although they are friendly it still hurts to put 2k into a car.
teeth are an investment into your ability to eat in the future.
thank goodness the trans only went out on a hill and not the highway!
teeth or cars..
My Nissan Sentra has been very trouble free... I mean, except for needing paint and Bondo and pieces of circuit board and lights and stuff attached/sprayed/glued onto it.
My teeth have done me well but I've had an unhealthy aversion to the dentist because of an excruciating 3 days of pain from an exposed nerve in one socket after having my wisdom teeth removed. They gave me mepergan which is a barbiturate and demoral cocktail and I went through a 5 day supply in about 2 days, it was so bad. Then I had to take vicadin and hiccup for a day before the dentist could see me to put an oil of cloves soaked string in the socket (instant relief). This was followed by 3 more days with a head full of cloves (makes me nauseated to think of it). Maybe if I could find a dentist that would sedate me before I got there...

Go buy the hoop-D'est ride you can find. Drive it till your feet fall through the floor then go get another.
BTW buy something from the early eighties. That way no computer and you can work on it yourself with just a standard set of wrenches.
Cars I recomend. Fuel effiecient and functional-
(1) Jeep cherokee. They have some room, 4-wheel drive, parts are readily available. You can pick one of these jewels up for about $1500.
(2) Domestic van, any eighties configuration will do. whether its a Ford,Chevy or a Dodge. You cant go wrong with this much space
(3) Volkswagon van. Funtional and easy to work on.
(4) Mercedes diesel wagons, they get the mileage, are relatively easy to work on and look good.
(5) Chevrolet Caprice Classic/Ford Crown Victoria station wagon. Seats 8. It has room on top for gear. You can put the seats down and sleep two comfortably
