I don't think it's about not being able to do the move but it does help in certain conditions. Like those crimps on Tissue Tiger at the crux. If no one ever brushed those things, they'd be caked on and really hard to pull off of.

I'm one of the bad people who don't carry a brush with me, though, so my opinion means nothing.

Maybe it's because of people that do brush the holds prior to your arrival that make it climbable for you.

It always made me chuckle in a sick sort of way of how gym climbers would brush the shit out of a hold indoors but would never think to do it outdoors while they were hangdogging, chalking continuosly and generally just cheesing up the place.

why else would you waste your time brushing a hold unless you were having an extremely difficult time pulling on a hold?

besides, the climbing world is full of pussies. i'm surprised people don't complain about people that do brush making the holds to sharp or gritty.

You wouldn't. I think the discussion is more for the mere mortals that get flogged by gravity and friction.

You could go climb at Shovel Point or Palisade Head on the north shore of Lake Superior where the local ethics is to not use chalk.

boulderers are the worst. they brush the rock. then they have a old t-shirt that they smack the rock with. then they try the move once and repeats the process. silly bouldererererererers

Sharp and gritty? sounds like it would then be a little better to pull off. besides anyone who fucks up the hold becaus of brushing is lame. On of my fav problomes was ruined by some ass clown with a wire brush! pull out your old tooh brush only if chalk is soooo caked on that you slide off it like trying to grab a greased pig.
Kali Mist grows into tall, running, classically sativa plants with very few leaves. This strain produces dense clusters of full fluffy buds, producing much higher yields than you would expect.
