my wife and i will be in the red this week ...with the masses i calim 13 she climbs 9 s and 10s ... where do you guys think we can both have a good time .... ive never been to purgatory , bob marley , unload , gold coast . darkside .... any of these areas have any easy climbs ..... thank you very much i need info bad dark............
Sore heal (purgatory, playground, shady grove, etc.) has routes from 5.4 -5.13 and up. The areas are pretty close to each other, and you could walk back and forth pretty easy from one area to the other.
Wes is right you should definatly check out Sore Heel. Ill be back in purgatory in the afternoon on Sat, thats when the reoutes are best because of the shade. I will be at the Solar Collector/gold coast before that, there are routes from 5.5 sport to 5.14 there. another good choice althoguh it will be sunny in those areas. PM me if you want a tour of either areas Sat.
Don't bother with the Unlode, if you're on a road trip and want to hit the best of the Gorge then the Unlode will be a wasted experience involving more bushwacking than climbing.
