i enjoy working on my cars when i have time and always do for easy stuff like fluid changes. i change oil every month 3 cars a month. keeps repair bills down. last few years i've been too busy and have to send them in to the shop for more and more. it's jus good 'ol redneck fun to be under the hood sometimes though. makes me grateful for a clean-hands profession too.
I had a recent round of dental work done-root canal/cap, filling, cleaning. Did it all without anesthesia, no problem - just a little twinge here or there - you can't exactly grit your teeth, but it was bearable. The only two painful parts of it were the cleaning (my dentist is a pretty strong guy, and he was scraping and flossing like it was he was trying to get a serioius workout in) and, of course, the bill.....
