I was going to go, but I had to pick between NRR or RRG Memorial Day, and of course I picked the Red. Also, have to beat up Young'n.

No, we're going to see "Revenge of the Sith" tonight. I'll be well rested for all of those stellar hard trad routes at the New (and of course a few sport routes too).

Great time this weekend at the New! Those people really know how to put together a festival - they thought of everything! From free alcohol to non-alcoholic drinks to non-stop entertainment (slack line comp, dyno comp, sumo crashpad wrestling...) and music til 3am.... they even had a free massage booth. We signed up but didn't really compete; we just wanted to score the awesome competitors' packet they were handing out. For $15 (climbing) you get a mountain hardware shirt, chalkball, resole discount coupon and a meal ticket. For $25 (bouldering) you get all of the above plus the new bouldering guidebook for the region which is not even out for sale to the public. The turnout was HUGE! Will definitely be there next year again! :D
