I looked the word up and apparently it's Yiddish. It means "overly emotional or overcome with emotion" and seemed to be more commonly spelled "verklempt".

My job landed me in the hospital in a world of nonstop pain.I decided then and there I need to find another one. Just haven't figured out what and when yet.
