Yasmeen of the Mountains

Yasmeen should be taking off from Vegas about now, so I’ll take this opportunity to spray for her. This Bad Ass girl came out West and put her thing down. Climbing 4 days solid, she started Thursday off by onsighting Yaak Crack (11d) at the Gallery in Red Rock Canyon. Friday was spent in Arrow Canyon north of Vegas giving strong effort at the Bass and Dirty Walls on routes up to 12c! Packing up we all headed to Welcome Springs to climb on Saturday. Undaunted by the long approach she starts her day by sending Holy Shit (12a), second go. Then she offers to hang Joe’s project, and onsights Pocketline (11c/d). Finishing up her day she makes it halfway through La Hobita’s 14 move V7 crux. She has got to be winding down right? Nope, Sunday it was onto Veyo’s Crawdad Canyon for some supposed R & R. After warming up she sends Manifest Destiny (12a), again second go. Then she finishes the day on Hopscotch (12b), onsighting the heinous traversing crack down low, only to be robbed at the last move. She gave a proud war cry before taking the best whipper of the weekend. Check the Album for photos of Yas working towards the finish…

yeah, she's pretty awesome. seriously, though, is anyone too surprised? we all know she's got it (and plenty more) in her ;) she's a great mentor. great job yasi!

i hope you are WELL!!!!! and CLIMBING!!! in the MOUNTAINS!!! yeAAAAA!! ;)
