Anyone remember the time the rednecks got in the fight over who had the right-away through the tunnel? Had traffic backed up for a mile in both directions. Those hee-haw idiots were almost ready to dook it out! We sat in line and drank a six pack while we waited for them to finish...good show.

No, but I have had to back out the entire distance once because some lady was coming through no matter what. She said something like, "You damn tourists go back home and leave us alone. I come throught this tunnel 20 times a day and I'm sick of waiting."

What the hell is she doing going through the tunnel 20 times a day?
We were warned of the po po but they were gone by the time we reached the tunnel. There was a rather large tree in the road however. Wonder if that scared the boys off.
The drive by warnings are appreciated, but wasted on me. I'm so terribly innocent it's dull.

One time I was driving to the the Mayor's place (RIP) to give him some beer as a "thank you" for letting me take photos, and right infront of his trailor a cop pulled me over for supposidly "weaving/no seat belt/incomplete stop at stop sign." After writting me a big ass ticket he asked if the beer was for the old man- and I told him no...the cop left, and the Mayor was rewarded with beer as promised. I miss that guy.
