I'm looking to make some waterproof gear sacks that are reasonably burly. Does anyone know where I can find fabric for such a purpose. I live in Columbus, btw, so Lexington stores, etc., probably won't be so easy to get to. Thanks for your help!

are you trying to make a sack or just looking ot buy one

most outfitter shops sell dry-bags that are reasonably durable

i have a burly sack
'that explains alot'...me after my parents explained I was born with water on my brain.

he is refering to the bolts of frabric, thus the connection w/ the title.

I'd also say to just get some dry bags, and modify them as you see fit. Talk to canoe and rafting outfittersand see if they will sell you old ones for cheep. You can sometimes get big ones w/ rips and cut and re-sew to size

Nice folks in Idaho, they carry all kinds of outdoor fabric and such. Very friendly eager to help.
