Thinking of John
I think we should do it all the same day, people that want to bolt take the clinic at muir on sat memorial weekend (if that is when it is )then following day we can have a bolting/trail day. If we could get atleast 25 people to help out on trails and then another group of people putting up new lines. We can get it all done real quick in one day if everyone chips in a little bit of there climbing time and isnt so selfish.

and great loves will one day have to part -smashing pumpkins
got the following: pick/mattock, shovel, pruner, bow saw, heavy rake, sledge hammer, post hole diggers for signs and maybe the sore heel kiosk. we could use people with chain saws, coalition trail tools like firerakes etc. probably a few bags of sacrete and five or ten gallons of h2o as well as a wheel barrow for mixing if we want to concrete the kiosk in place. been building trails for awhile and will be happy to work with folks exp. or new. started a trail to backside of volunteer wall that johnny flagged - raked it but it never got finished. there's other trail stuff too. could we meet at miguels like we did the day johnny had us meet last fall and share 4wd's that way? this will be so cool! am very psyched.
Johnny Crag Maintenance Day, sounds like an annual event in the making to me. One thing the RRGCC could do is auction of options for FA's after the drilling is done. Cost of hardware for the developers can be covered pretty easy. Or you could have a trail/development day and the next day have a "pay per foot climb-off". Have the climbers that participated in the trail/development day try and gather "sponsors", say$.05/foot climbed. Most of us know at least 15 people that would give to an advocacy group. Say 30 climbers got an average of 15 sponsors at .05/foot and climbed 300 feet that would raise around $6750 for the RRGCC. I would like to think that would pay for trail supplies and a small chunk of the land payments as well. Of course the climbers that earn the most money get donated prizes.
Just some ideas to help raise money and have some fun.

I am more for the JCM Day and aution off what ever routes are developed that day. And have a small raffle or somthing like that at the end of the day, everyone that helps out gets a few free raffle tickets and then have them for sale also. I would be up for the climbing thing except I dont think I would be good at getting sponcers, so If someone would get me sponcers I would go and climb a thousand or more feet that day. If we are going to get this all organized and have set plans with people going to show, Then I would be up for getting a Keg and having a Party that night with free beer for everyone that volunteers
Bill/Ryan/Bob/RRGCC,
If we are jumping the gun on this just let us know. I think it would be a great thing to try and pull off. If the time frame is to short lets work on a later date. Would the Access fund match funds or maybe a mag or manf ? So many ways to help.
