Stop me if you've heard this one, I need 12a suggestions.

Sent Wild, Yet Tasty this weekend, my first 12a. Looking for some suggestions on some "easier" 12a's that I can work on. It doesn't matter if it's vert, a roof, a boulder problem or a slab because they all spank me and I need a good spanking every once in a while.

My prerequisites are: (1) it's a fun climb and (2) its more 11d-ish than 12b-ish. I've been on Ro, Hypocrite, Kick Me in the Jimmie and Twinkie, all fun, but two runs and I'm done for the day. I've also been on Espresso, it’ll go after I perfect my skills at levitation.

Man, they don't get much easier than Hippocrite. They don't get much more fun either.

:D You said "Stop me if you've heard this one...." that's hilarious. I thought you were going to tell a joke or something. :D

Oh yeah, congrats on WYT too!

That always stings when people say Hippocrite is easy. That thing took me about 25 tries. I kept yapping about how good the route was. "Come on lets go to the zoo for a little while" I would say. And sure enough no matter who I would drag up that nasty little trail. They would crush the route and patiently belay me for 5 unsuccessful attempts. Even when I finally send it was just freakin ugly. I love that route.
PS. Flying Monkeys is pretty easy.

i've only got on WYT once over spring break but i think it'll go with a couple more tries. budda hole is a pretty easy 12a, at least i thought it was. my only other 12 was Hard Core Jollies at Funk Rock. it has a bunch of big moves at the start, great clipping holds and then the top get crippy. really short route (~45 feet).

Thanks for the suggestions, any others? Hypocrite is absurdly steep, I can do all the moves, but not in a row. I'll have to check out the Solar Collector and try my hand at Buddha H and Ethics Police.

Pawilkes, good luck on WYT.

Too Many Puppies! Best and coolest 12a at the Red! Bring a stick clip and your best footwork.

Too Many Puppies is a sweet route but i think its a harder 12a. i got on it a couple times when i still hadn't sent an 11 so that could be part of it. it is a really sweet route though. the section between the second to last bolt and the finish is intimidating but i like it alot.
