Yes your right, T Bone! Everyone should be thankful to Ray and all those who came before us! My first time in the Gorge was with Martin and it was about like following one of his guides! Don Fig (The original Climber friendly F.S. employee) never drew me a map but he did give me a ticket once! Seems some of the original Bruisebrothers were caught in a restricted area so I took the Fall! That was 12 yrs. ago I think. Kudos to Porter too! He may have brougth sport climbing to the Gorge, but his lines were always Classic and he'd come up to me and say; Mike ,I just found this crack you need to go and do! The mind goes on and on with memories of the Red. So all you Gumbies, Newbies, Gym Rats etc. Be thankful to those who came before you their legacy and the Rock!!!!!!!

you know what's funny? the people who complain and have the most to say are the same ones who almost never climb. that makes perfect sense.

Fuck all those trick ass bitches who say shit and don't hardly climb. The worst part
about it is they STILL go to the fuckin' rock, stick clipping every bolt more than 5
feet off the ground, monopolizing entire crags with all their 50 best trick ass bitch
friends complaining about how some 5.6 4 bolt climb could have been bolted to utilize better clipping holds!! PU-LEEZE!! Not surprisingly these are the very same
people who you are also most likely to see deck out, or drop a gatorade on your head without a single peep from the top of the crag.I used to try to make polite
suggestions to these folks like,"are you aware that you are not belaying correctly",
stuff like that, but forget it. The next time someone throws their goddamn top-rope
on me while I'm leading a route I'm just gonna YANK the fucking thing...HARD!!
