If it makes you feel any better, the week before Christmas my sister had surgery on both of her feet. The basically broke her foot, cut tendons and all and put her back together with screws. It's February and she still has to wear special shoes and is just 2-3 weeks out of a wheelchair. They prescribed her oxycontin AND percocet becuase one wasn't doing the trick. OUCH!

I'm finding I don't need to eat or drink. The blood gushing out of this new hole in my head is quite filling.

Oh no, I'm not kidding. This sucks! Anyone want me to post a pic?

Not only do I want to see a picture, but I also am interested in any video footage you have of the event. Are you gory looking? If you are, then that would be further incentive to hit J-Tree this weekend. Ha.

I had the same the same tooth experience as HF. Before I got braces, they pulled four teeth, I just got shots in the gums. The Doc took and awl and pounded at the base of my gums for a while. He proceeded to take rubber tipped pliers and 'crack' them out. The pain shots did not work very well, so they gave me more. Meanwhile, the Doc actually had sweat beading on his forehead. He said I had some of the longest roots he has seen -- It was painful. The best part was recovery, it was possible to find leftover food in the empty tooth cavities hours later.
No big deal.

That whole procedure was barbaric as hell yesterday. All I had was novacaine, and he wouldn't let me listen to my radio. I think "oral surgeons" are sadists. Their tools are straight out of the 1800's, well except the electric saw he had to use to cut my bone. *shudder*

It's more gruesome in person.

I had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled while in the military by some "doctor" who was about 22 years old. He had some sort of chocks keeping my mouth jacked open and when he finally pulled the second tooth free with his pliars he accidentally dropped it down the back of my throat, where it got stuck.
This dental-ass took so long the anesthetic wore off before he was done. He would not give me any more because he said it might put me in a coma. By the time he was done digging into my jaws I wanted to kill him.
So, you're a feminist...isn't that cute.
