Can you ruin a tattoo if the skin gets scraped up over it?

Well, I have OW-scars all over my body and the ink still shows just fine.

I had a body piercing. If I had read the care instructions prior to getting pierced, I never would have done it. It was disgusting for about 3 months, and quite painful. Once it healed it was very sexy. (Belly. I had to take it out for an MRI and decided to leave it out.

I tell you people too much.)

I've never seen a tatoo ruined by climbing, but I did see a nipple torn off last year. Someone smeared off a slabby boulder problem.
