This weekend I was on a route and had to resort to a drop knee with my left leg. Afterwards I noticed that it hurt pretty badly. Today I got back on the route and there was no way in hell I was going to do that dropknee again due to the intense pain. I'm wondering what I did?
If I press on the inside of my knee it feels like it's bruised. Any movement resembling a drop knee hurts. For example, I couldn't do all of my dance moves tonight while Horatio and I were at his house practicing for club night Thursday.

maybe an illeotibial band irritated (bad spelling i know) used to get 'em from running too many miles - right beside the knee cap. ice and lots of rest/drugs helped it. is it swollen?
frozen veggies like peas etc. work really well fo an ice pack - sounds weird and looks the same - but really will do the trick. good drugs too - lot's of 'em.
I don't think the ITB band connects on the inside of the knee. I know my pain was on the outside and underneath the kneecap with running related injuries.
Last time I hurt my shoulder and went to the doc I said "it hurts when I do this"..and then he said "then don't do that"..go figure.
