Access Fund Donation Request

Post by Saxman »

Anyone else get a donation request from the Access Fund? Included with the card is a letter from Roger Linfield which states, "A portion of Kentucky's world famous Red River Gorge is currently closed to climbing by an oil and gas company. The Murray Property, purchased by the Red River Gorge Climber's Coaltion (RRGCC) with help from the Access Fund, is currently not accessible for climbing. This is despite the RRGCC's purchase of the private property and lengthy negotiations with the oil company."
Anyone think this paragraph is a bit misleading in order to get more money? Or, someone has told the Access Fund, or us, misleading information.

I have just sent an e-mail to Shawn Tierney, Access Fund Access & Acquisitions Director to make sure that the Access Fund is current concerning the PMRP status of being open and the Arena, Oil Crack, & In-Between status of being closed.
