Actually the Bible would be more accurately described as what a handful of men interpreted to be God's word through their own spiritual vision, experiences and inner faith.
As to whether or not one would believe that to be the case in either description would depend on one's belief in such a deity..
And as to KD's delimma, I'm thinking religion is far from the right course to deal with problems that are not a consequence of faith. Sometimes people need to solve their problems with one another with more practical solutions. Faith may be a source for guidence in such an instance but actions and communication are necessary to save a marriage in trouble.
the Bible is God's word through man (according to the Christian faith)....what would you be more apt to believe...one person's account of a situation....or 4 people's same account of the same situation?
we do fear the power of the V....love it and loathe it. it has an irresistable hold on a man's gonads...go figure....talk tough boys, but you know you all melt for the right woman.
longlegsrule, I wasn't looking to get into a theological discussion. Your post just struck me as funny and ironic and I thought I'd dwell on it for a bit. Thanks!
And pigsteak, that's the most romantic thing you've ever said on this board! I guess there's just something about a guy saying the words "melt for the right woman."
