ElectricDisciple: I am a big fan of Beal ropes. From their lineup I currently have a Top Gun (10.5) which I highly recomend, I love it!

I also have a edlinger 10.2 which is a fine rope, I like how the top gun handles and catches better, but if you are mostly clipping bolts perhaps the 10.2 would be better for you.

Meadows wrote: I had that rope and it sucked. I couldn't get it through my gri-gri and those belaying me with an ATC had problems too. It swelled so much that it was nothing but a stiff cord. Some other guy had the same problem.
if you'd stop washing your rope every other weekend you wouldn't have that problem! :D

i have a blue water 10.2/70m and i love it.

you need to ask yourself how long of a rope you will want (50/60/70) and if weight matters then the diameter etc comes into play.

diggum, how's the leading going? when are you going to be my rope gun? :D

RRO, I'll drop by tonight. It might be a little late though...like 8:30, 9. If you aren't around I'll try to drop by tomorrow morning.
