Red River Gorge Achieves Trad Mecca Status

"...Yosemite, Moab, Devils Tower, Squeamish, Red River Gorge..."

Has anyone climbed in these? I'm speculating that with all that extra rubber they kick ass in flares but are going to be hot as hell in the sun.

So if these POS shoes are designed for crack climbing, why aren't they high tops? What does one have to do to obtain a good crack shoe, buy custom made shoes? I just don't understand why the manufactures all insist upon vulnerable ankles and dyed feet...

Dude, 5.10 is coming out with a new high top soon. They say it's like a high top Hueco.

because shoe companies are part of the evil capitalistic empire, with 100% ownership by republicans. and republicans know sport climbers will have jobs during the week, and be able to buy several pairs of their shoes, thereby ensuring the continuation of the free markets.

crack climbers, on the other hand, are a wierd lot....not going to contribute to the overall sustainability of the new world economy.

or maybe it is plain supply/demand for anything but a 2 OZ flimsy leather fuzzy bunny slip on...
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.
