By "gear" I meant sleeping bag/pad and personal items that I would usually keep in the tent. Thanks for all of the feedback. I was shocked to hear about those idiots down there. Most climbers I've met thus far a pretty cool.

See you on Saturday,

Ewwww  That burns me UP that they were so rude to you & your daughter. If I ever heard such nonsense I'd put my boot up some asses then get them kicked the hell out.
My daughter is only 1 & we haven't camped out there but I plan on doing so & if anyone has anything to say...I'll tell SANDY!

Have fun this weekend...it's gonna be a nice one!

Yeah up till then i always had a great time there. None of them had the balls to say it to my face. But when we were setting up the tent I could hear them. So from then on we just camp up the road at the park. Climbers are cool and friendly this was just a out of the ordinary experience, from some newbies that were talking out there ass.

I have a friend that thinks kids shouldn't be at muigels. My approval rating, minus 100 points.

Huggybone, out of curiosity...did your friend say why he thinks kids shouldn't be allowed at Miguel's?

He thought that it isn't a place appropriate for kids, that you should be able to cuss without looking over your shoulder. I totally disagree.

In response to that...not attacking you at all...just want this made clear to anyone who may feel the same as your friend.

As a parent...when I bring my daughter to places like that...I do not expect anyone to alter their behavior b/c there is a child present. You can only control the places you take your child, not what happens when you get there.

I agree with you diggum. I dont mind the cussing or the language. My daughter is old enought to know to ignore it. She has heard me say all that could possably be said. Not that Im proud of that but you know how it is when your trying to work out a problem and fall ect. She loves to climb and lives to be in the gorge. just because she is a kid doesnt mean that she shouldnt be able to enjoy it with the rest of us. :?

I feel differently. I've seen, first hand, the anger of a parent when I said 'hell' in front of their child. Sure, I can just blow them off in my mind, but when kids are at muigels, I watch my tongue as a curtesy.

Of course, my job requires that I not only watch my language, but use proper grammer as well.

So I'm a little uptight about it.
