Yeah, reading that article really made me want to go out there. Drive by crag and you get to climb with super models!!!

I have climbed at NJC many times. I used to live near there. Amazing place. My first time there was a bit intimidating, as I was new to climbing and the rock is a hard to read. The rock is volcanic material that has never been airated. Very dense and varnished. I have used more creative body positions at NJC than anywhere else I have climbed. Jack Marshal did an exelent job bolting. If you go on a weekend during the season he is your guide book. There is no water at NJC. Forget about the super models. The artilce in Climbing is not a good profile of the place. I highly recommend NJC.

PS You will likely get conflicting reports on NJC.

Enjoy.

Yeah, New Jack is a sweet weekend trip. So many routes all close together it's hard to know where to begin. bcrock is right, just find Jack and ask him what you should get on. He'll give full beta plus the history of each route. Really cool vibe all around. Have fun!

The ladies climbing in the Gorge are all supermodels in my opinion. If you disagree they'll kick yer ass!
