Lunch?
yep - in 20 minutes i have to get kids down to the cafeteria, take necessary breaks, call people, meet with collegues et al. then go bring the kids back up. My collegies eat fast and big meals like you have at mom's. it gets to be a habit and when they eat out socially, they eat so fast people stare in disbelief.
I take an avacado sandwich or a sugar-free peanut butter and jelly on whole wheat. I also bring along grapes, pecans, and, of course, farmer's cheese to snack on. I hope to start running on my lunch break when it warms up!
Avacado Sandwich:
Smush 1/2 avacado and spread on whole wheat bread
add:
1 thin slice swiss cheese
baby spinich
tomato slices.
Yum!
Don't know what you do, but when I ran at lunch, I could munch a sandwich while I caught up on notes.

What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.

AHA! KD = Kevin Downs! Man, I'm getting quicker every day!
I can empathize. While I don't have to eat fast luches, I ask myself this:
A student is legally allowed to leave the room at any time in order to use the restroom.
A teacher can be held liable for anything that happens in the class room if he leaves to take a sh*t.
Who is really in control?

Well, I usually try to eat my 'lunch' around 10 then run about 12 or 1. This works out pretty well except I always feel like I am starving by 3 or 4 in the afternoon.dipsi wrote:Don't know what you do, but when I ran at lunch, I could munch a sandwich while I caught up on notes.
