Nanny nanny nya nya. My silly little stripey car gets between 36 and 40mpg on the hwy.

Jeep is introducing a diesel Liberty. If they come with two tanks you could run it on vegetable oil. From what I've heard, diesel engines actually run quieter and more efficiently on the vegetable oil. The problem is you have to get it hot first (usually done by cycling exhaust and/or coolant under the tank) so you have to warm up the engine on regular diesel and then switch tanks. My cousin has a Jeep Cherokee diesel (very rare) but I think he's going to convert his turbo-diesel Toyota pickup (ultra rare) to vegetable oil.

There's also bio diesel which is converted vegetable oil. It's not complicated or particularly dangerous to make it but for long trips you'd need to pull a trailer with the barrels and stuff on it (though you could fill up with regular diesel). The waste product is soap. There's a VW diesel pick-up here in Louisville I've seen that runs on bio-diesel. Smells vaguely of french fries when you're behind it.

The busses in Cincy run on bio-diesel. Next thing you know the whole world will be at war over french-fries...

Well, if D doesn't want the seat coves, I would be glad to sell them to you, if you want them. They are just taking up space right now, although I did put them on the sentra I had.

thanks for the offer wes, but i think i'll pass. i'm more interested in gear than keeping my seats clean right now. :wink:
