Sand

Post by diggum »

Does anyone have a photo of this route? We didn't have a guidebook yesterday & I'm trying to figure out what route my partner did. It was a little right of a dihedral & pretty overhung.

The first bolt was waaaay too high & this Sand route said it might be missing a bolt. When he cleaned & came off that last bolt we both swung way the hell out.

Any ideas?

Does the top of up yonder (first pitch since i guess it's a multi) go in a little where the belayer would be unable to see the climber? Seems like it was a little further right than this picture.

Oh well. Not that important...just wanted to tell him the grade.

the picture is of up yonder. if you were right of that, then it was sand. i haven't done sand, but i'd bet the person who did it would be able to tell the difference between a clean, easy .11a and a scary, dirty .11d.

he said it felt like a hard 10 but the crux was definately an 11 something. so it had to be up yonder.
