OSU College Climbing Comp
OSU College Climbing Comp
Ohio State University is hosting their first intercollegiate climbing competition. It's this Saturday (19th - prelims) and Sunday (20th - finals). UK has already registered a team. Up to five students per college may register. It's 20 bucks and they let you camp out in a field or stay in the dorms. Competitors receive a free t-shirt.
Today I quit my job. And then I told my boss to go fuck himself, and then I blackmailed him for almost sixty thousand dollars. Pass the asparagus.

Yeah it's team Johnson Center. Greg Rueff, Rob Cardosi, Dev Ranjan, Johan Dorfling, Chris Frayer, and Jeremy Stich. They let us register 6 people. Some people from UL need to sign up so we can dominate you.

i don't believe anyones said having fun is more noble. However i did say it was more important. Kicking ass can be all well and good but if it becomes the goal fun can be lost and then whats the point in climbing. Trust me, you can kick ass at things and still not derive joy from it, winning is not necissarily fun. Now if you can kick ass and derive joy at the same time then go for it.
so having fun is more important? wow, how times have changed. and winning is not necessairly fun. please cite me an example where winning is not fun..as long as you play by the rules, then winning is always fun. have you ever seen the booty first place gets? ever seen the chalk ball losers get?
Positive vibes brah...positive vibes.

I beg to differ...I won first in beginner last weekend at Miami and it was NOT fun...the people were fun and being there and having a camera in my face everytime I turned around was (even though the problems weren't all that great) but winning first wasn't exactly fun...I sandbagged so bad cause I climbed awful...and wasn't even going to turn in my score card...if I had worked hard I would've felt better about winning....but I played by the rulespigsteak wrote:so having fun is more important? wow, how times have changed. and winning is not necessairly fun. please cite me an example where winning is not fun..as long as you play by the rules, then winning is always fun. have you ever seen the booty first place gets? ever seen the chalk ball losers get?
and you wanna know what we won? a plate...painted pretty...but what am I supposed to do with it...it's bigger than my head....I got a chalkbag too...but sad...the door prizes ended up being way better than the place prizes
