No, you have to submit your routes for approval through the forest service.

The Zoo is private, unless something has changed recently. Land exchange?

Take it to the TOP! That sounds pretty scary. BE CAREFUL when you are on top. And if you have a fall-out. Put it back in and take shorter strokes.

it was always my understanding that the zoo, the roadside park, and roadside crag were non federal properties. You could ask at the gladie visitors center.

In regards to ownership of the Zoo, the Bronaugh guides states that, "It is located on private land on private land adjacent to National Forest property." Forest Service boundaries are shown on Boyd's Red River Gorge Sports map. The statement in the guide is confirmed by the map.
