What I love about running is you can meditate while running. It's a peaceful place.

In my experience, watching a video of myself is kind of like hearing a tape recording of your own voice.... you sound/look funny... Though its not so much funny as oddly foreign.
I imagine it could provide someone with good feed back on their strengths and weaknesses...

Theres only 2 that I know of. Nothing special, just a bunch of friends flailing up routes at Purple Valley. When I first watched it,I thought ,Why didnt I just put my foot in the crack? It was obvious, but not at the time I was climbing.Video makes a great learning tool. You don't need anyone else to critique it.

I was adicted to golf before I got into climbing. So much so that I hired a pro on a regular basis. One of his teaching tools was video. He would shoot several swings. Then we would watch the tape. He would freeze frame at the key positions of the swing. Then he would compare my position with pictures of pros he had in a binder. The quick feedback and comparison to the ideal worked wonders. Of course not all successful golfers swing the same. The trick was to find a pro with a swing similar to mine. I have always thought video would be a valubale learning tool for climbing.

I think videotaping would work well indoors or for bouldering. To analyze someone adequately on a long route would take more than one camera or several takes plus a route close by to hang from while taping. It would make a fun day if a group did this and then everyone analyzed the video together. This way everyone could learn from others as well.

I was video taped climbing Super Pinch last fall and it was bad. FOr the first time I saw how barbarc of a climber I realy was. I sent any sequence on that route strate to hell I was doing crazy crosses, matches and big reaches. I would move from good hold to good hold often jumping my feet higher. I taped 2 tries. the first one I made it to the anchors and a foot poped off and I took a digger into that big hucao. I watched the first try, shook my head in imberisment and proceded to send. just watching my dumb ass was enough to see what I did, how I shook out, rested, and used my feet. That was the start of my perfect foot work. All thanks to the tape.
Kali Mist grows into tall, running, classically sativa plants with very few leaves. This strain produces dense clusters of full fluffy buds, producing much higher yields than you would expect.
