If you make some heads be sure to use Stainless Steel cable, it is extremely important and often overlooked. Galvanized cable will rot in a very short time, leaving a deadhead in what could be the only placement.
Nicopress makes the best tools, Loos & Co. also make some nice ones, but beware there is alot of junk out there (ebay and elsewhere). Make sure you check your crimps with the proper gauges.
I tested my heads for a long time before I sold any. I can't say there's much profit in it, but it is fun. I make heads aiders and slings, mostly as a hobby. I can also resling cams. if anybody needs anything, pm me.

As far as copper and aluminum goes in the red, I haven't had any success with them. I did use a lead head on a climb in the red. The lead seems to be soft enough that it doesn't pulverize the sandstone as much.
weather is occurring.
