It was announced this weekend at the Outdoor Retailer's show in Salt Lake City, UT that a new guidebook for the Red River Gorge is in the works and will be released late spring/early summer of this year.
The book is being published by Wolverine Publishing and authored by me (Ray Ellington). Wolverine Publishing has published many excellent guidebooks including the most recent guide to Hueco Tanks, TX.
Wolverine Publishing is donating 20% of the profits from the book to the RRGCC for their continued efforts at ensuring responsible climbing in the Red River Gorge. I'll be donating 25% of my own royalties to Tina Bronaugh for obvious reasons.
Shew.........this secret has been hard to keep!

Woohoo! Awesome Ray. I'll buy a copy (even though I don't need one). There's not a better person for the job of creating this guidebook.

Oh, Sir! That is so neat, and kudos for your generosity! I want an autographed copy! Put me on the list! It should read, "From Sir, with love......."

Ray, I have it on good authority that Johnny would be very happy YOU are writing this guidebook, as well as absolutely thrilled about your contribution to Jesse's future. I know I am.
I love you, man.

Very cool. It will kick ass for sure. And, having the tie in to the on-line guide makes it a very new and great thing.
