Yas, Wes, HoFo, SCIN/Artsay off the top of my head own some and most likely use them plenty. Probably Lurkist as well. Crankmas used to (not sure if he still does though).
Screw you guys. I'm going bowling.

Alright then. Which are better, the long stem, or short stem. Also, how are they superior to Metolius?
I've had just about enough of this shit.

Aliens are the best for small gear. They fit places other don't. Hell, I'm even an alien.

Long stem or regular? Filtered or unfiltered?

aliens are the best small gear. Way better than metolius fcu's or tcu's. I have all three and I always place my aliens before my metolius. I've never come across a placement that accommodated a metolius and not an alien.

As for bigger gear; get BD, not metolius. BD is superior in almost every way. Also, unless you are trying to save money, I would go with the newer BD cams as opposed to the old ones. They are lighter and easier to use.

I agree with loren and wes, I have bought the old BDs 1-4 and love them. I also have a full set of trango flexstems which I wouldnt give away for anything. I even doubled them up, the small ones, because I like how they hold so much. So I would go with BDs, aliens, trangos, and even the old rigid friends, for they are the most durable cam on the market. I got one stuck on Attack of the Sand Shark and literally took a thick stick and a skinny long rock and banged the F' out of it for like 45 minutes. Finally the rock broke around the cam and I was able to retrieve it. The rock was the only one that got injured in that battle not the cam. Those damn things are sweet! But go with what you like. These are just suggestions.
Who Me? I gotta hitch hike god damn 18 miles to get a god damn beer......that's bullshit.

Gee! And what about Tricams? For a couple of hundred, you can outfit your friend quite nicely with doubles of all the critical sizes.
