We will hit Rocktown and HP before we leave. Spend a few days at the Red if the weather works out. I havent been doing anything other than work for the last couple weeks. In the last 11 days I have not worked less than 12 hours, and I have about another week or so of that, then its road trip time. Hope we can get together before we head out.

Ooooh Climbhigh I'm so envious!

Gretchen, it's coming along. I'm (hopefully) bustin' my climbing gym cherry tomorrow if the back is feeling okay. I think I'll be good in a month. I'm certainly training hard, just haven't climbed at all. I climb better on those sharp crystals in JT than anywhere else, though, so I think it'll be okay. I can't wait to get back out there!

DKing - Joshua Tree takes a few days getting used to, in my opinion. The type of climbing felt totally foreign at first because we were climbing vertical to slabby 3-4 star routes that heavily depended on friction climbing...and sometimes the crack would just end; 30 foot run-outs on 5.8's will wake you up real quick.

I'd say keep it simple and stick to the bouldering if you only have a few days. We found the routes challenged our heads and not our muscles so we relied on the bouldering to get pumped at the end of the day.

Steve - Out the back window was a very freaky site. I really can't tell you what it was or what possible purpose it could have had. It looked like a tall, wooden, rectangular, colorful, homosexual float with a yellow toilet bowl in its center. I wanted to go back there and take a picture but I was afraid its creator would get me.

Glad to hear that your feeling better! My neck is bothering me now from the accident so I'll probably go & have it looked at. Must of hit my head! Doesn't feel like whip lash so I hope it's nothing serious. So right now my hiatus from climbing is being extended, damn!

Yeah it just kinda snuck up on me the past two days. I hope that in the end it is nothing serious!

THis is a crazy time. I just found out today that a good friend of mine, Lori, three of her ex-coworkers & friends were killed yesterday in an accident here in CIncinnati. It just goes to show how LUCKY bryan and I are!!!

That's freakin' hilarious Artsay. In your attempt to cure my curiosity you've only made it worse. How many days did you stay there with that thing out back taunting you to go take a picture? Thing sounds like something out of a bad X Files.

I see they are still lopping off mountains in Eastern Kentucky. Electricity isn't cheap.
