Yeah Danny,
You should *ease* back into it. Sounds like you pushed a little too hard.
I haven't lifted since before surgery in Nov.
Plan on hitting it again at the start of Feb.
I will keep your sore muscles in mind and not go too hog-wild.

Danny, pain is only weakness escaping your body. If it hurts the next day then you're weak and need to lift harder and without a day off.
Ticking is gym climbing outdoors.

You can build muscle well into your 80s. The key is to never stop exercising in your older years. The gym I used to go to had a guy that was 82 and he could squat and dead lift more than most of the people in the gym.
